See Your Results First Using These 5 Easy Steps

Work, Work, Work.

Life is full of demands, often leaving us tired and depleted.

Welcome to a world that values one thing: RESULTS

In all my efforts to acquire, succeed and step fully into abundance, it’s been my relentless striving and uncontrolled ambition that has left me directionless. My well-intentioned actions were fueled with passion and purpose but I lacked one thing: Clarity.

Without clarity, we don’t have strategy and the steps to our goals become hidden. What could be a straight highway of effortless manifestation becomes a windy trail of shattered dreams and cliffs of despair.

We, in the personal development world, talk about one thing: Be in Action.

Why? Because action is where the universe takes you seriously and begins to unleash it’s vast storehouse of resources upon you. It’s the energy of commitment, trust, hope, faith all wrapped in a steadfastness that you’re living a life of intention.

Yet, that is also the moment frustration is birthed. We jump into action and haven’t first defined the result. Like playing darts with no target, we aimlessly throw our sharp arrows of greatness into the world and are disheartened when they fail to land on a target.

It’s maddening and we have nobody to blame.

We’ve attended the seminar. We bought the ticket, hired the guru, got motivated, inspired, pumped up, affirmed. We broke down and broke through, we prayed and meditated, bent and twisted into cross-legged yoga poses under trees and littered our household walls with vision boards.

Yet, abundance is like that cute guy or girl in the corner of a crowded party  that winks at you yet you can never seem to inch your way over to make a full introduction, much less bud a full-on romance.

So you mingle, eat food you don’t normally eat, drink way too much … all in distraction for getting the guts up to actually go and introduce yourself to that wonderful thing called, Abundance.

At the end of the party, you falsely reassure yourself that you did everything right, you showed up, wore the nice outfit … but you failed at one crucial step.

Define and embrace the intended result.

What do you want?

We praise results and love action but before you begin, take the time to define what it is you want first with these 5 easy steps.

1) What is the EXACT result I want to create?

The result must be Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, Time-dated. (S.M.A.R.T.)

For example:

  • By February 1, 20xx, at 100 people have gone through my online program.
  • By January 1, 20xx, I will have completed the first draft of my manuscript.
  • By November 30, 20xx, I will contact my past client list and offer my services.
  • By March 1, 20xx, I will have have taken that dream vacation to Tahiti with my husband and stayed in the beach-side, Tahitia Luxury Resort.

You get the idea. Dream .. and forget the HOW for now.

This habit is based on imagination – the ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes. It is based on the principle that all things are created twice. There is a mental (first) creation, and a physical (second) creation. The physical creation follows the mental, just as a building follows a blueprint.

If you don’t make a conscious effort to visualize who you are and what you want in life, then you empower other people and circumstances to shape you and your life by default.

When you connect with your own uniqueness and then define the personal, moral, and ethical guidelines within which you can most happily express and fulfill yourself, you win.

Begin with Results First means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing your proactive muscles to make things happen.

2)  What is Your Why?

I mean your deepest why. Begin here by writing it out fully. Making it a flowing paragraph of powerful words that resonate with you, with maximum emotions.

If you haven’t seen the post: Clarity with Mind mapping, go there now.

Develop a Personal Mission Statement. It focuses on what you want to be and do. It is your plan for success. It reaffirms who you are, puts your goals in focus, and moves your ideas into the real world. Your mission statement makes you the leader of your own life. You create your own destiny and secure the future you envision.

If you’ve hit the core of your why, challenge yourself to go even deeper.

Example: That matters to me because….and THAT matters because….

3) Picture Your Result.

We make changes to avoid pain and gain pleasure. We make decisions based upon emotion so use this to your advantage by tapping into the emotions of why you want what you want.

  • Bring your intention to life.
  • You are there.
  • What is happening?
  • Where are you?
  • With whom?
  • What are you wearing?
  • What do you see, taste, feel, smell, etc?
  • HOW DO YOU FEEL?

4) – I will Commit to Action.

Here is where (most) of the Personal Development world begin, challenging you to take action. It’s not entirely our fault. Most of the people we encounter have been OUT of action for so long, it feels like we’re jump starting your grandfather’s 1957 Chevy from the garage.

Don’t take offense, we see you as a Ferrari, but to get there, it takes a tremendous amount of voltage to super charge you into action after years of dormancy soaked in frustrations of negative thoughts that give you years, even decades, of false evidence to deepen your stance.

You argue with us. You tell us your stories. You cry, sweat, shake, even shout … and in the end, succumb to that beautiful dream deep down inside that we saw the moment we first set eyes on you.
When you fully experience, using all 5 senses and your 6th deeper sense, action will be inevitable. You’ll try and try and try and fail a hundred times, but you’ll be in action.

When you have a clearly defined (SMART) goal fueled by passion and purpose, you become unstoppable.

Those painful breakdowns lead to empowered breakthroughs and you get comfortable being uncomfortable, attracting the universe’s endless resources to you generously.

As the ultimate architect, you design the life you want and begin to step into effortless manifestation.

5) – Enroll support and accountability.

THIS is where many people derail. We are not born to live life alone. We are communal creatures, shaped and oriented by the tribe in which we exist.
You’ve probably heard it said: “You are the sum total of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

It’s true. Our environments shape us powerfully, either for the positive or the negative.

Support, in the form of empowered coaching, turbo boosts you past the limiting beliefs, past the potholes of the painful stories, the fumes of self doubt and the mechanical breakdowns of the human ego.

We are NOT your friends. Your friends are there to unconditionally love and support and accept you exactly where you are without reason or question. A coach will see you as a higher version of the way you’re living, crystallize your dream and begin speaking that into existence, challenging you ever step of the way to go further and harder.

Every high capacity person has a coach. Athletes, Executives, Speakers, even coaches have coaches, sometimes several of them.

If you’re ready to create and design your life, begin with the results first and then work backwards.
